The Parents Know the Answer public service announcements have been produced to be broadcast quality. This means they fit perfectly in the allotted “air time” for public service announcements on local television and before the start of movies in local theaters.

  • Approach your local public access television station and ask them to air the public service announcements. You can find your community’s public access station at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_public-access_TV_stations_in_the_United_States
  • After locating your public access station, call and ask to speak to the station manager about airing the PSAs and posting a link to them on the station’s website.
  • Did you know that in the last five years cinema advertising has grown considerably? Most movie theaters now show commercials for 20 to 30 minutes before the previews begin. This is an excellent way to get the PSAs in front of your target audience! The general rate for nonprofit organizations is $18.00 per screen per week (note that most theaters require a four-week minimum schedule of advertising). Approach the theater manager and inquire about having the PSAs shown during this time.
